Drone Mobile
DroneMobile is a smart vehicle app that puts control and peace of mind in the palm of your hand. From remote start and keyless entry to real-time GPS tracking and security alerts, it keeps you effortlessly connected to your car—anytime, anywhere.
Goal
Collaborating closely with the DroneMobile team and my design studio, I led the design of a wide range of features and end-to-end experiences for the iOS app. The challenge was to refresh the app with a more intuitive and modern user experience. From early research to final delivery, I partnered with product, design, and research teams to craft an updated experience that aligned with evolving user expectations and enhanced overall usability.

Your Car’s Pulse, In Your Pocket
This area serves as the core of the app—designed to quickly surface what matters most and provide a clear snapshot of your vehicle’s current status. A common customer pain point was uncertainty around basic questions like, “Is my car actually locked?” or “Is everything secure?” To address this, we redesigned the home dashboard to not only display real-time status more clearly, but also to communicate a sense of safety—or alert users when something may be wrong. Guided by research insights, we also prioritized key actions, placing them front and center for faster, more intuitive interaction.
Simplified navigation
To support product goals and expand business opportunities, we introduced new experiences such as Mapping and Activity. Alongside the main home screen, we streamlined the app’s structure by separating core functionalities into distinct, simplified sections. Rather than merging features, we kept each experience clearly defined, enabling users to quickly understand where to go and what to expect—improving overall navigation and reducing cognitive load.
Together, Even When Apart
Another key customer pain point was knowing the whereabouts of their family or community. Since vehicles were registered through the app, we leveraged that data to surface real-time locations within a map view, helping users stay connected and informed.
